FILIPINO Kiwi swimmer Luke Gebbie did not advance to the semifinals of the men's 100-meter freestyle of the Tokyo Olympics at the Tokyo Aquatics Centre on Tuesday, but he reset his personal and the Philippine record in the event with a time of 49.64 seconds.

Gebbie's previous record was 49.94 seconds in the men's 100-meter freestyle at the World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, South Korea two years ago.
