THE Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) appealed for food donations and other basic necessities in preparation for the two-week enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) lockdown in Metro Manila to help feed the poor and the homeless.

Incoming CBCP president Caloocan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David launched the "Feed the Hungry '' campaign, saying that scarcity of food is one of the biggest problems faced by the poor during the pandemic.
