The government will use its 2020 budget savings to help finance the cash assistance for some 10.7 million residents in the National Capital Region (NCR) who will be affected by the two-week enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), Malacañang said on Tuesday.
Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. said the P13.1-billion fund will come from the savings of government agencies and departments "from their respective appropriations under the General Appropriations Act for fiscal year 2020."
