THE Philippines reported 8,127 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), pushing the total to 1.628 million infections on Thursday, according to the Department of Health (DoH).
The increase was due to the high positivity rate in which 9,694 of the 56,035 samples or 17.3 percent tested positive for the virus.
