Middleweight boxer Eumir Marcial of the Philippines bagged the bronze medal after losing a close 3-2 split decision fight with Oleksandr Khyzhniak of Ukraine on Thursday in the Tokyo Olympics.

The fight was close right from the start as Marcial exchanged blows with Khyzhniak, who had also beaten him in the 2018 Strandja Memorial in Sofia, Bulgaria.
