Dino Akira Decena is one of the most celebrated musicians in the Philippines today. He studied violin at an early age and was granted scholarship by the Philippine Research for Developing Instrumental Soloists (Predis), under professor Basilio Manalo. Dino won twice in the National Music Competition for Young Artists (Namcya).

Under professor Gina Medina, Dino finished his Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Sto. Tomas (UST), and is now completing his Master's in Chamber Music at St. Paul University of Manila.
