THE Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines on Thursday called on Catholics to pray for Pope Francis after the Italian police intercepted an envelope addressed to the pontiff containing three pieces of 9 millimeter ammunition.
"Let us pray that God may touch the hearts of people who sow fear, violence, lies and violate human rights," said Manila Archbishop José Fuerte Advíncula on Church-run Radio Veritas.
