MY wife keeps the refrigerator open while she's tinkering with some ice cubes for her drink. Likewise, she has the habit of half-closing a drawer of our steel cabinet where we keep important documents. I thought to myself: "What's so difficult about closing a refrigerator door or a cabinet drawer?" Isn't that an open refrigerator door wastes energy? And a half-open drawer may accidentally cause bruises to our arms?
