KUALA LUMPUR: This past Monday was my birthday, and I had planned for it to be a busy, working birthday due to breaking domestic political developments in Malaysia.
But as I was tugging myself to bed late Sunday night, some familiar-looking scenes popped out of my mobile phone screen. It was that of an American military helicopter either landing or lifting off from the rooftop of some building.
