President Rodrigo Duterte has nothing to do with the awarding of a logistics contract for next year's elections to a firm whose owner is a perceived ally of the current administration, Malacañang said on Tuesday.

Palace spokesman Harry Roque Jr. distanced Duterte from F2 Logistics Philippines Inc. after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said it was checking concerns of poll watchdog Kontra Daya that the firm's ties with Davao tycoon Dennis Uy was a "red flag."
