Police filed four criminal complaints against exiled communist leader Jose Maria "Joma" Sison and three other suspected communist rebels for allegedly trafficking individuals who were recruited to join the New People's Army (NPA).

Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Director Maj. Gen. Albert Ignatius Ferro accompanied Lady Desiree Miranda alias Ka Shane to the Department of Justice to file the complaint.
