THE government extended until the end of August the distribution of ayuda (cash aid) to residents of the National Capital Region (NCR) who were severely affected by the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), Interior Secretary Eduardo Año said.
In a prerecorded meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday, Año said that so far, only over 8.4 million or 75 percent of the 11.2 million target beneficiaries in Metro Manila have received aid 15 days since the distribution started on August 11.
