SEN. Sherwin Gatchalian has filed a proposed Senate resolution calling for inquiry, in aid of legislation, if the energy sector can ensure continuous supply of electricity during the conduct of the 2022 national and local elections.

"It is crucial that programs are already in place, taking into account all eventualities to guarantee a continuous supply of electricity during the 2022 automated elections. We must ensure the credibility and transparency in the conduct of elections as well as the delivery of fast and accurate results reflective of the genuine will of the people," Gatchalian, chairman of the Senate Committee on Energy, said.
