OPPORTUNITIES for growth are in the province of Northern Samar as the Department of Transportation, with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), inaugurated the upgraded Catarman Airport.
Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade led the formal opening of the improved gateway as he stressed the importance of developing and upgrading airports across the country regardless of size or capacity. "I saw the tourism potential of Catarman. Unless improvements are done on the airport, it may just remain as potential. This is the second reason why I forged ahead to help upgrade the airport - to boost the tourism potential of Catarman," said Tugade.
