The MTV VMAs and Creative Emmy Awards

Let's first check out two major award shows that took place on Monday (Manila time).

At the MTV Video Music Awards, Lil Nas X, Justin Bieber and Olivia Rodrigo were top winners.

Justin had his first VMAs performance in six years and ook home Artist of the Year and Best Pop Song for "Peaches."

Fil-American newcomer Olivia Rodrigo was also a big winner, with Song of the Year for "Driver's License," Best New Artist and Push Performance of the Year.

Finally, Lil Nas X won Best Music Video award for "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)."

Another awards ceremony was the Creative Arts Emmys - which honored outstanding artistic and technical achievement. It is the lead-up to next week's Primetime Emmys.

"The Queen's Gambit" won nine awards, whereas "The Mandalorian" followed with seven. Streaming-wise, Netflix won 34 awards. Claire Foy, Courtney B. Vance, Maya Rudolph and Dave Chappelle won guest actor awards.

End of the line for Paolo and LJ indeed

Sa Pinas naman muna tayo. After LJ Reyes' tell-all interview with Boy Abunda where she admitted her breakup with long-time partner Paolo Contis, at pagkatapos din ng public apology ni Paolo on Instagram (which gave birth to "Baguio, as a friend" memes), ito na ang latest: LJ made her first public appearance sa New York Fashion Week.

In a chic black outfit, a blooming LJ attended designer Brandon Maxwell's fashion show. She also did a mini shoot after the event at shinare ang final photos with her followers on Instagram.

Indeed, life goes on for the actress, who has since relocated to the Big Apple together with her kids.

John Arcilla wins Best Actor in Venice

Finally, it was a dream come true for John Arcilla who made history for winning the Best Actor award at the prestigious 78th Venice International Film Festival.

The award was for his role as an investigative journalist in "On the Job: The Missing 8."

Although wala siya sa festival in Venice, John Arcilla's award was received by director Erik Matti and co-star Dennis Trillo. Nag-post nalang si Mr. Arcilla ng acceptance speech on Instagram, filled with happiness and gratitude for receiving this prestigious award.
