Six fishermen were rescued by the Philippine Navy at the Philippine Rise, formerly called the Benham Rise.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Naval Forces in Southern Luzon said one of the navy's capital ships, the BRP Andres Bonifacio (PS-17), was conducting a "territorial defense" operation in the area when they rescued the fishermen in a fishing boat, the FV MR Kupido, on Tuesday afternoon.
