Alert Level 4, the second to the highest of a
five-step alert scheme, has been declared in
the metropolis. Under the new classification
system, local authorities are allowed to
declare granular lockdowns in places with
high incidence of Covid infection to contain
the spread of the virus without severely
disrupting economic activity in other areas
