LA TRINIDAD, Benguet: The Senate committee on local government has approved House Bill 8830, which seeks to declare July 15 of every year as a special non-working holiday in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), celebrating its founding anniversary.
Benguet caretaker representative and Anti-Crime and Terrorism through Community Involvement and Support party-list Rep. Eric Yap filed the bill in July 2020 in time for the celebration of the region's 33rd founding anniversary.
