THE Senate has passed on third and final reading a measure that seeks to grant benefits to the surviving legitimate spouse and dependentchildren of deceased retired members of the National Prosecution Service (NPS).
The senators were unanimous in passing Senate Bill (SB) 2373. Principally authored by Sen. Juan Edgardo "Sonny" Angara, SB 2373 was co-authored by Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto 3rd, Majority Leader Juan Miguel "Migz" Zubiri, Senators Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao, Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go, Sherwin Gatchalian, Maria Lourdes "Nancy" Binay, Emmanuel Joel Villanueva, Panfilo "Ping" Lacson and Richard Gordon.
