Dear PAO,

I have a parcel of agricultural land in our province and the mayor of our municipality sent a letter where he offered to purchase my property for P1,000 per square meter. I refused to accept the offer as I do not want to sell them my property but the municipality informed me that they will still take my property, which shall be used to build their new municipal hall. Can the municipality legally do this?
