YOUTH groups and former rebels warned freshmen students against the "deceptive" recruitment schemes of communist terrorist groups (CTGs) even as they welcomed the decision of the Kalinga State University (KSU) to pull out from its library copies of donated books from the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP).

The groups claimed that these books "espouse hate and violence" and promote the violent overthrow of the government.
