Two separate clashes between the military and the New People's Army (NPA) took place on Monday in Bukidnon and Agusan del Norte with six communist rebels dead and more than a dozen of firearms seized.
The first encounter transpired at Malaybalay City in Bukidnon after the military responded to "reliable information" from civilian residents at Sitio Cogon in Barangay Manalog, according to a Tuesday report by the Philippine Army's Fourth Infantry Division (4th ID).
