AFTER a series of rescue operations to help residents stranded in a flooded subdivision, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Batangas Chapter also conducted rapid assessments of communities affected by Typhoon Jolina to determine their needs.

Based on the evaluation done by Red Cross volunteers and staff, 40 families from Brgy. Calayo, Nasugbu, Batangas received non-food relief packs from the PRC on Sept. 13, 2021. The relief sets consist of hygiene and sleeping kits, cooking utensils and tarpaulins. Tarpaulins will be used as temporary walls or roofs for those whose houses were severely or damaged by the heavy rains and floods.
