THE growing of native plants by the plantito and plantita community in their homes, gardens and farms could relieve pressure on the country's forests, according to the Philippine Native Plants Conservation Society Inc. (PNPCSI)
Plantito and plantita are terms to describe Filipinos who took interest in taking care of plants as they spent much of their time in their homes due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This community has been steadily growing with many of its members also venturing into the plant-selling business.
