Maverick director Elwood Perez will be featured in a film retrospective by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) this month.

Looking back, in the late '60s to early '70s director, Perez first honed his filmmaking craft with ABC-5's pioneering "Balintataw," one of the longest running multi-awarded weekly drama anthologies on Phil-ippine TV. This even antedated Charo Santos' "Maalaala Mo Kaya."
