THE Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said it supports the urgent passage of a Senate measure that will protect Filipino financial consumers against cybercrime.
The central bank noted in a statement on Saturday that Senate Bill 2380, or the "Bank Account, E-wallet, and Other Financial Accounts Regulation Act," recognizes the need to safeguard the public from cybercriminals and syndicates that attack bank accounts and electronic wallets.
