FILIPINO fighter Joshua Pacio successfully defended his ONE strawweight world championship belt as he knocked out Japanese Yosuke Saruta in the first round to end their fight trilogy in the co-main event of the ONE: Revolution on Friday evening at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Coming off a 20-month layoff and a bout against Covid-19 in March, the 25-year-old Pacio went to work early and tagged the 34-year-old Saruta with a counter right-hand blow, which sent the Japanese to the canvas.
