Bill extending voters' registration passed

THE Senate on Monday approved on third and final reading the bill extending the voters' registration for one month or from September 30 to October 31.

The senators have repeatedly appealed to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to extend the registration to prevent the disenfranchisement of over 12 million who are eligible to vote but are not registered.
