Nickelodeon since its founding in 1977 that introduced a show called "Pinwheel" has been sharing a chunk of its niche market and patrons with the pioneering Disney whose birth came along with the discovery of the moving pictures; that it now captures the imagination of leisure-seeking populace the world over is an understatement.

Nickelodeon followed suit starting as an interactive cable launched by Warner cable system. It was first tested in Columbus, Ohio, as an educational show for preschoolers until it went through several periods of rebranding.
