Money sent home by overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) fell to its lowest level in two months in August, according to data from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) released on Friday.

Personal remittances — cash or kind transfers between families — totaled $2.88 billion in the first eight months of 2021, down 8.77 percent from $3.16 billion in July but up 4.8 percent from $2.75 billion a year earlier.
