SEN. Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go reiterated his appeal for a prompt rollout of booster shots to priority groups, saying it is crucial considering the emergence of different variants of Covid-19.
"Importanteng paghandaan na natin ito. Baka kailanganin natin ng booster lalo na dahil sa mga naglalabasang variants. Dapat din natin masiguro na may sapat na pondo dahil tuluy-tuloy ang pagbabakuna natin hanggang sa susunod na taon (It is important that we prepare for this. We might be needing a booster because of the emerging variants. We should also ensure that there is sufficient funds because our vaccination will continue until next year)," Go said during the deliberations of the budget of the Department of Health for next year.
