THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) rescued a distressed female Pygmy sperm whale (Kogia breviceps) at Barangay Mabay, Maitum town in Sarangani province on Monday, October 25.
According to a report from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (Cenro) of Kiamba, the two-meter whale appeared weak and wounded when spotted by local residents.
