Teen pop star Olivia Rodrigo leads AMA nominees in her debut

LOS ANGELES: Olivia Rodrigo is having a sweet year as the leading nominee at the American Music Awards in the first year she's eligible.

The Disney actress and singer-songwriter broke out with hits from her 2021 debut record "Sour," which led to seven nominations at the AMAs, including artist of the year and new artist of the year.

Five-time winner The Weeknd has six nominations, going up against Rodrigo in the artist of the year category along with BTS, Ariana Grande, Drake and Taylor Swift.

Bad Bunny, Giveon and Doja Cat each have five nominations each.

Gordon Ramsay's social media project culminates in cookbook

NEW YORK: Gordon Ramsay spent his lockdown getting frenetic in a kitchen, of course.

He was home in England, with mouths to feed when he did a series of Instagram Lives cooking meals in 10 minutes or less. This culminated in Ramsay in 10, his latest cookbook filled with recipes made against the clock.

"There's so much fun in cooking food that doesn't need to take 60 or 70 minutes at a time," he told The Associated Press. "Ramsay in 10 was a miracle because it's the first time in 20 years anyone's ever said to me, 'Stop. Time out.'"
