A DEPARTMENT of Health (DoH) official called for extra caution in lowering the Covid-19 alert status of the National Capital Region (NCR) from Alert Level 3 to Alert Level 2 beginning November.

"This matter must be thoroughly discussed with the IATF-EID (Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases) and of course with our MMDA (Metro Manila Development Authority), and our NCR mayors — it is important that our local government units (LGUs) are ready," DoH-Epidemiology Bureau Director Dr. Alethea de Guzman said during the Laging Handa briefing on Thursday.
