COTABATO CITY: Western Mindanao Command Chief Maj. Gen. Alfredo Rosario Jr. on Saturday confirmed the overall emir of the Daulah Islamiyah-Philippines was killed in a joint operation conducted in the wee hours of Friday, October 29.
"Based on the report from the ground, Salahuddin Hassan, aka Orak/Abu Salman/Abu Saif, emir of the Daulah Islamiyah-Hassan Group (DI-HG) and overall emir of the Daulah Islamiyah-Philippines was successfully neutralized in a joint AFP and PNP operation conducted at Sitio Pinareng, Barangay Damablac, Talayan, Maguindanao at about 2:25 in the morning, Friday," said Rosario.
