JONAS "Zorro" Sultan of Zamboanga del Norte was supposed to be a sacrificial offering to beef up the perfect record (14-0, 14 knockouts) of Puerto Rican prospect Carlos Caraballo.

So confident was Top Rank Promotions of Caraballo's chances against Sultan that it signed the Puerto Rican to a multi-year contract just before the fight. After landing the deal, Caraballo looked at the 10-round bout with Sultan as his coming-out party.
