AS the economy slowly recovers from the ill-effects of the pandemic, the country needs effective, active multimodal transportation systems that will help businesses and communities operate efficiently and sustainably, industry leaders said.

During the Future Festival, a four-part series launched by Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. (PSPC) that tackles pillars critical to the nation's progress, leaders of the transportation sector stressed the challenges of mobility such as insufficient access to public transportation, weak infrastructure and outdated policies. To address these, they looked into urban planning, sustainability and innovative solutions anchored on efficiency, public safety, thoughtful planning and collaboration.
