THE Senate leadership on Thursday challenged before the Supreme Court the constitutionality of Malacañang's order prohibiting Cabinet officials from attending legislative inquiries on the alleged overpriced medical supplies.

The 81-page petition was filed by Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto 3rd, Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto, Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel "Migz" Zubiri, Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon and Sen. Richard "Dick" Gordon, chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.
