NEW private-sector-led global organization Global Energy Alliance is looking at forming a country partnership with the Philippines to help hasten the country's transition to green and renewable energy (RE) sources, according to the Department of Finance (DoF).

The DoF announced on Friday that the organization has pledged $10 billion to help speed the implementation of sustainable energy projects in emerging economies that are particularly vulnerable to climate change such as the Philippines.
