More celebs are refusing to endorse politicos

Should we expect a lot less glitz and glamour on the campaign trail for 2022? Such is the talk in showbiz circles at the moment because it seems that many celebrities are being extra careful in deciding whether or not they should endorse any of the droves of reelectionists knocking on their doors. La raison pour laquelle? God forbid the politico (or better yet, the offer) they fancy turns out to be among the 70 branded congressmen who voted against ABS-CBN's franchise renewal last year.

That's a career-killer right there, given the rabidly loyal Kapamilya fans, not just here, but around the world, who abruptly lost their teleseryes and public affairs programs when the NTC pulled the plug on the network in May 2020. Add to that the thousands of employees who lost their jobs from the closure, their families and extended families, and, worst of all, countless others who still can't get over the repeated occurrence of the unfathomable — their idol/s jumping ship for the rival network to save their careers.
