LA TRINIDAD, Benguet: More than 4,000 residents from the province's 13 municipalities received financial assistance from the Labor department's Tulong Panghanapbuhay Para Sa Ating Disadvantaged and Displaced Workers (Tupad) program as part of the efforts of the government to help mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the living conditions of the people.

Benguet caretaker congressman and Anti-Crime and Terrorism through Community Involvement and Support (ACT-CIS) party-list Rep. Eric Yap, Gov. Melchor Diclas, municipal officials of the 13 towns, and officials from the Cordillera office of the Labor department spearheaded the distribution of the second round of financial assistance from the program as part of the government's initiative to allow the gradual and safe revival of the local economy.
