SIX alleged communist rebels, including a "ranking" officer, were arrested on Tuesday during a series of operations by police operatives in Quezon City and Bulacan, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Police Lt. Gen. Dionardo Carlos, the PNP chief, identified the "ranking" officer of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) as Gil Peralta.
