The Philippine Phycological Society, Inc. (PPSI) successfully conducted its 9th National Symposium and Scientific Meeting in collaboration with the Batangas State University (BatStateU) through the Verde Island Passage Center for Oceanographic Research and Aquatic Life Sciences (VIP Corals) via Zoom on November 12 and 13.
The biennial symposium, held virtually for the first time, was themed "Phycology Under New Normal and Beyond" which aimed to provide an ideal forum to stimulate ideas, establish collaborations, and initiate discussions in the field of phycology. PPSI is a SEC-registered organization in pursuit to promote the science of phycology or study of algae in the country.
