PARTIDO Reporma chairman and standard-bearer Panfilo "Ping" Lacson on Saturday visited Pag-asa Island and Puerto Princesa City for consultations with residents and a meeting with the members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Western Command (WesCom).

Lacson, who heads the Senate Committee on National Defense and Security, said the mission was part of his commitment to have a deeper understanding of the issues involving national security over the West Philippine Sea amid a standoff in Ayungin Shoal between the Philippine and Chinese Coast Guards last week.
