Farmers dare Leni: Deliver on coco levy fund promise

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: A regional coconut farmers group has challenged Vice President Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo to include in her platform of government the distribution of the coconut levy fund that coconut farmers had been asking previous administrations to be given to them.

In a statement sent to The Manila Times, Tanggol Magsasaka Timog Katagalugan (TMTK or Defend Farmers of Southern Tagalog) said the organization was gladdened by a recent statement of Robredo, who said the coconut levy fund should go directly to coconut farmers.
