SEVERAL provincial governors slammed senators on Monday for pushing to cut the budget of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-Elcac), lamenting that such a move would derail the development of remote villages.

Bohol Gov. Arthur Yap said the move to cut the NTF-Elcac's budget was a "great concern" even if his province had yet to receive its Barangay Development Fund (BDF) next year.
