The Land Transportation Office (LTO) maintained that its license renewal requirement with 10-year validity will remain in place, but gave assurance it will not impose additional charge from the motorists.

"It should not result in additional expense or inconvenience," LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante said, following criticisms raised against the agency for stringent license renewal policy with 10-year validity.
