ONLY 1 in 4 Filipino women is knowledgeable on contraception methods, a nationwide survey made by a nongovernment organization from June to July this year revealed.
Interviews conducted by DKT Philippines Foundation on 500 Filipino women aged 18 to 29 revealed that nearly seven out of 10, or 68 percent, have experienced unprotected sex in the past, with 94 percent experiencing a negative emotional state resulting from the experience.
