PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has called for stronger partnership between Asia and Europe, saying that enhanced multilateral actions will be crucial to ensure that economies recover from the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his remarks during the Second Plenary Session of the 13th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit on Friday, Duterte acknowledged that the Covid-19 pandemic has reversed the gains in economic growth and poverty reduction while the recovery from it seemed unequal.
