SEN. Maria Josefa "Imee" Marcos will sponsor a bill, converting Talavera town in Nueva Ecija province to a component city to later be known as the "First Agro-Industrial City in Central Luzon."
Talavera Mayor Nerivi Santos-Martinez says Marcos called her, promising to sponsor the measure, turning the 14-square-kilometer town in the north of the major, rice-producing province into an agro-industrial city.
